Dr. Jean Duplessis specializes in transnational, international commercial and constitutional law, legal-commercial project management, international trading, strategic business development and related commercial and risk management, claims, dispute resolution and arbitration. He practices in both common and civil, as well as Sharia law jurisdictions.
He has over 40 years’ experience in various senior executive, board and consulting capacities amongst others, for some of the world’s leading organizations and on some of the world’s largest capital projects in the energy, mining, banking, legal, construction, trading, marine, finance and facilitation industries in many countries in such regions as Africa, Arabian Gulf Countries, Australasia, Americas, Eurasia, EU, Russia, Scandinavia and the UK.
Jean studied law, project and strategic business management, international relations, international trading, economics, negotiations, dispute resolution and arbitration at institutions in South Africa, USA, UK and Switzerland. He qualified in law, energy studies, project management, contract management and administration, petroleum economics and energy commodities trading and also holds a doctorate in business administration.
